Good for attaching a rope to a branch or post

Step 1 |
Pass the end of the rope around the branch or post. |

Pass the rope around the again. |

Step 3 |
Pass the rope over the standing part. |

Step 4 |
Pass the rope through to form a half hitch. |

Step 5 |
Pass the end of the rope over the standing part. |

Step 6 |
Pass the end of the rope through to form the second half hitch. |

Step 7 |
Pull the rope tight and check knot. |
